Faith

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions should be a reflection of His good grace in our lives. We believe that our faith encompasses every aspect of our lives and can be seen through both the highs and lows of life. 

Scripture

We believe the word of God (for English speaking people) is the King James Version of the bible. It gives light, and is our guide for all that we do and all that we are. The Word of God is our final authority, and taken in context is profitable for doctrine, correction, reproof, and instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Community

God designed the church to be more than an occasional gathering of people to carry out religious tradition. God designed us for fellowship within a community of faith. We laugh together, cry together. In short, we do life together. All while pursuing a deeper walk with God through the truth of His Word.

Exalting Christ

We believe that to exalt Christ is top priority. We stand on the promise of God found in john 12:32 “and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” We seek to lift up Christ in all that we do at GBC; our music, our worship, our teaching, our outreach, our preaching.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is obtained by any sinner who realizes himself to be unworthy of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and puts his complete trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross (Romans 5:8), will receive the gift of eternal life and adoption into the family of God. (Galatians 4:5, Romans 10:9-10, 13) 

The Gospel

We believe that the gospel of Christ is the good news that Jesus was born of a virgin and was God incarnate, fully God and fully man. That He lived a sinless life, died willingly on a cross, and literally arose from the dead and is forevermore alive in heaven, having made the only way for anyone willing to be saved!
